December 30, 2013

Well i don't even know where to start. :) I hope everyone back home had a amazing Christmas! I love you all so much and want you to know i was thinking of you guys all day... and everyday! We worked all day Christmas. It was the most fun iv had yet. People would ask, shouldnt you be at home opening presents and being with your family?? I was so proud to tell them, our families are in different states. We are here to share a short message with you about Jesus Christ. The look on there faces was so great. We shared many messages that day, as we do everyday. But that day was very special! Im so happy to be here serving with the wonderful people of Santa Barbra!

The message we have been sharing the last few days is about having a firm foundation. A foundation in Christ. In Helaman, 5:12 it reads, and now, my sons, remember. remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you sown to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Family and friends. Please remember to build your foundation with Christ. I promise each and everyone of you, that as you start to press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, while having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of god and of all men. You will see a increase of joy and happiness in your lives.

Im so thankful for the love and kindness you all show to me. I pray for you. Each and every single one of you.

   I love you so much!

     Remember, Doctrine and Covenants 24:8

Be patient in afflictions, for thou shalt have many; but endure them, for, lo, I am with thee, even unto the end of thy days.

December 23, 2013

I have so much to share but so little time! :) First off, im doing great! loving the area and the people we are teaching! The ward here does so much for us as missionaries! WE have new investigators! David and Tim. By the end of this week we should have 3 investigators with Baptism dates!!! How exciting it has been to see the difference it is making in there lives! Time is going to fast already! Transfers are January 12th, but theres still so much potential here in santa barbra! so i hope i get another transfer or 2 here!

This past week i have really noticed that there are two influences ever presented in this world. One is constructive and elevating and comes from our Heavenly Father, the other is destructive and debasing and comes from Lucifer. Please remember brothers and sisters, mom and dad, and my friends in the email. We have our agency and make our own choice in life subject to these unseen powers. I promise you, that as we seek to strengthen our relationship with our Heavenly Father, you will see his hand and feel his love in your life more often then you already do! Always remember that we live in a time where the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ is upon the earth. It is here to bless our families and to lead us back to him!

This time of year is so important. As we meet new people and pay closer attention then i ever have before. I see the sadness in society today and it makes me feel sorrow for them! We all need to remember that Christmas is not about gifts or anything of that sort!... Maybe ask yourself? what can i give to some this christmas season? LOVE!! thats it! show people love! be kind! help anyone you can! give complements!

December 16, 2013

Hi!!!! Im so happy to be back out here! I know the tender mercies of the lord have been with me since i left the airport! Im in a threesome so i have 2 companions. :) We are in Santa Barbra, California! I am truly at the edge of gods most beautiful  creation! My companions are the best ever! They are laid back but very hard workers! So we stay very busy! The spirit is so strong and the ward members so amazing!!!

We are teaching this lady Vivian. She is a less active member who feels scared and embarrassed to return back to church. We met with her Saturday night and i shared my life stories with her. Also about how i returned home at the beginning of my mission. She was in tears with some of the stories. I love her so much! It was another tender mercy of the lord. As i walked into church yesterday morning.... ;( her and her daughter were sitting in the front row! first time in 3 months!!!! It was amazing!
